Export Facilities - Compressed Timothy & Alfalfa Hay

Located east of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Barr-Ag has 2 facilities where we store and compress hay and straw for export to dairy operations and horse owners around the world. Our Olds, Alberta facility has an under-roof storage capacity covering 4.5 acres with a 50,000 m². Specialized equipment allows us to compress many tons a day for export. Along with compressing hay and straw at this facility, we also have storage equipment for the containerization of grains and pulse crops for export. The second facility is located in Arrowwood, Alberta. Surrounded by 4000 acres of irrigated farm land, this export facility has 1 bale compressor in operation and a storage capacity of 20,000 m² under roof.

Storage

Both facilities are located near Alberta’s main transportation corridor for easy access to the United States and the Ports of Montreal and Vancouver. Orders and shipping arrangements are made through the head office in Olds and our office at the Port of Vancouver.
